Course description: This course looks at the issues around prescribed medication with an aim to raise awareness around the types of medication being misused. To give participants the knowledge to be able to provide appropriate interventions, highlighting the risks and dangers associated with prescription medication.

Course aimed at: Individuals who have direct contact with anyone who is taking prescription medication.

Learning outcomes

  • Discussion around general misconception of prescribed medication Identifying key medications currently being misused. Identifying key risks associated with prescribed medication. Discuss appropriate harm reduction techniques and treatment options that can be used to promote best practice.

Course duration: 9:30am – 4:30pm 45mins for lunch
