Training Voucher Scheme
This scheme enables organisations to:
- Pre-pay for specified courses
Or
- Pay an amount of money that can be
used for either programmed or in-house courses, or both
If a voucher is purchased during the year then,
unless negotiated differently, it would need to be spent before the end
of the financial year. At NewLink Wales the financial year runs from the
1st April to the 31st March. So a voucher purchased in May 2010 would
need to be spent by the end of March 2011, unless different arrangements
have been agreed.
If a voucher is purchased out of spillage at the
end of a financial year then it would remain valid until the end of the
following financial year. For example a voucher purchased in March 2011
would remain valid until the end of March 2012.
