This course moves onto the stage two skills of the approach. The key skills of this stage are introduced and time is mainly given to skills practice for the participants.

At the end of the two days, the participant should be able to:
1. Describe stage two skills
2. Identify when these skills are appropriate
3. Use these skills
4. Apply these skills to their work
5. Combine stage one and stage two skills

Trainer:

Karen Marsh

Karen is an accredited motivational interviewing trainer. She has a wide experience of the drug and alcohol field as a counsellor and a trainer. Karen currently uses motivational interviewing in the fields of substance misuse, mental health and education.

This course is free to workers based in Cardiff and The Vale of Glamorgan.

A 10% discount will be given on bookings when a completed booking form is received six weeks before the course date. Unfortunately we cannot offer the usual 55 discount to members on top of this.
